Casual Urban Guides for 2025 and beyond!

Are you a passionate about outdoor education but want to change a change of scenery? At The Urban Challenge we are redefining outdoor education with city-based adventures that are just as inspiring as being in the outdoors. Plus, you will start your day with a delicious coffee being purchased for you by your team and end the night in a warm bed every night!

At The Urban Challenge our programs champion experiential learning by empowering students to shape their own experiences in a variety of ways. Each program is an unfolding adventure which enables students to discover the culture of Sydney in a fast-paced team environment that immerses students in ultimate real -world experiences.

Whilst on The Urban Challenge, students will take responsibility for managing their team’s budget, meals and transportation around Sydney. They will participate in a range of exciting activities and complete various team challenges along the way.

Our team of Guides are a friendly and energetic group of individuals with a diverse range of experience and expertise. They facilitate day programs and overnight programs that range from 2 to 5 days. We are looking for suitable candidates to join our expanding team!

Opportunities for a casual role, throughout Semester 1, 2025 and beyond. The work load varies week to week, where no two weeks are the same! We are looking for guides who can commit to multiple programs each Term throughout the year.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Outdoor Education, Tourism, Teaching or other relevant group management experience
• Current Senior First Aid
• Current Working with Children’s Check
• Must enjoy working in a team environment and have strong facilitation skills
• Should have a flexible approach, calm manner, be a creative problem solver and have a proactive professional nature
• Experience in working with youth is advantageous
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
