Typically, a full semester (6 month) work load would attract the following:

- Fixed-term Level 2 Leader program day rate with overnight allowance reaching $478.44
- Fixed-term Leader positions attract annual and personal leave.
- Superannuation payments in accordance with legislation
- We provide; all meals and tent accomm whilst on program; first aid kit and uniform; all required activity and campsite equipment and ongoing training and development.
- A thorough familiarisation/training days to get you up-to-speed
- Onsite accommodation options are available on a permanent or casual basis.
Who we are:
- Somerset has a proud history in the outdoor education space since 1981 and over that time we have employed 1000’s of people across all areas of operation.
- Operating 2-6 day journey-style programs (including Duke of Ed) from our basecamp, utilising the River and surrounding bush.
- Our seasons run from mid-January to beginning of June and Mid-July to Mid-December
- Somerset is located 90mins from Sydney on the glorious Colo River.
- We have over 20 fixed private campsites and over 20 activity areas that groups move between to complete their experience.
- Groups are mostly in the Year 5-10 age group (11-17 years old).
What Group Leaders require:
- Certificate IV in Outdoor Rec / Leadership
- NSW WWCC
- Formal qualifications in canoeing or kayaking, bushwalking & abseil or climbing,
- Remote or Wilderness First Aid (or the ability to acquire)
