Positions Available: Male and Female Youth Mentors

Location: Forster/Taree and Port Macquarie & Kempsey regions (and surrounding areas)
Employment Type: Casual β paid under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award, Level 2 starting rate
About the Role: Mentors will work one-on-one with young males and females who require positive role models and support. The work is grounded in trauma-informed practice and focuses on building connection, trust, and capability through tailored outdoor adventures.
Requirements:
Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Disability or similar)
Current NSW Working With Children Check (Employee status)
Current NSW Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check (desirable but not essential)
Full Driverβs Licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
Availability during and outside school hours, including weekends (typically 2β7pm)
Comfortable and confident working outdoors in varied environments
Experience with neurodiverse individuals (ADHD, ASD, ODD) and/or young people with complex trauma
Patience, empathy, resilience, and a calm approach to challenging behaviours
Willingness to complete 1β2 weeks of on-the-ground training with management staff and team leaders
Pay & Conditions: Paid under the SCHADS Award (Level 2), with ongoing basic training and a supportive, inclusive team environment.
