About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has opportunities for two Assistant Project Officers to work as part of the Park Systems and Operations team. The Assistant Project Officers will:
Support the state-wide delivery of systems, services and contracts that meet operational branch needs and contribute to projects addressing operational or technical issues identified by field branches and other business areas.
Work collaboratively across the agency to improve coordination and delivery of NPWS projects, services and contracts including the preparation of briefing notes, templates and project plans.
Conduct research, analysis and synthesis of a range of information relating to park management policies, procedures, systems and finance and procurement processes to support the timely delivery of state-wide contracts.
Provide support for data consolidation, analysis and reporting, including preparation of materials to communicate issues, risks and solutions to stakeholders.
Support communications for state-wide NPWS projects, including drafting organisation-wide advice, updating policies and procedures, and maintaining ParkSite intranet content.
These roles may provide support for a range of NPWS business systems and operational processes, with specific focus areas varying between positions. This may include projects such as apiary site administration, authorisation of law enforcement personnel, staff uniform contract management, and initiatives related to connectivity, mobility and telecommunications services.
