About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Senior Field Supervisor to lead a highly skilled and committed team at Hartley that contributes to the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and aboriginal heritage of the beautiful Kanangra area and surrounding regions.
The Senior Field Supervisor will supervise the field team based at Hartley. This team is a high performing team of 7 staff that brings a deep range of skills to their work each day.
The role manages the planning and delivery of approved works, ensuring completion within required deadlines and budgets, as well as environmental, welfare and safety standards. You will co-ordinate works programs and monitor and report on works program progress and expenditure.
You’ll manage the day-to-day operations of the team including staffing, fleet management and at times the coordination of contractors to meet the needs of various projects.
This role is pivotal in the ongoing establishment and management of the Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area, as well as Wollemi, Turon, Marrangaroo and Blue Mountains National Parks and Evans Crown Nature Reserve.
Within these reserves are several high visitation precincts and associated infrastructure.
